Connecting to Forza Horizon

Forza Copilot receives the game’s built‑in Data Out telemetry over your local Wi‑Fi. Your phone and your console/PC must be on the same network.

Open Forza Copilot and note the IP address and port on the Connection screen (tap to copy the IP).
In Forza Horizon, go to Settings ▸ HUD and Gameplay ▸ Data Out.
Set Data Out IP Address to the address shown in Forza Copilot.
Set Data Out IP Port to the port shown (default 5400).
Turn Data Out on and start driving. The reticle turns green and reads LINK ESTABLISHED when packets arrive.

Telemetry only streams while you’re actively driving — not while you’re in menus or paused. If the screen looks idle, get back on track.

Troubleshooting

No data / the link never turns green

Confirm the phone and console/PC are on the same Wi‑Fi network (not a guest network, and not one with “client isolation” / “AP isolation” enabled).
Double‑check the IP address and port in Forza match exactly what the Connection screen shows. The IP can change when you switch networks — re‑check it.
Make sure Data Out is switched on in Forza and that you’re driving, not in a menu.
The first time, iOS may ask for Local Network permission — Forza Copilot needs it to receive the stream. You can confirm it’s allowed in iOS Settings ▸ Forza Copilot ▸ Local Network.

I don’t have a console handy

Use Demo mode from the Connection screen. It drives a car around a circuit so you can explore every screen — gauges, map, replays — without connecting anything.

Speeds look wrong (mph vs km/h)

Set your preferred units in the app’s Display settings; it drives every speed readout.

A race attached to the wrong track, or I want to rename it

In the Race Log you can rename an event or merge two events that are really the same track. Recorded runs group by the route they trace, not just the start point.

iPhone or iPad running iOS / iPadOS 17 or later.
Forza Horizon on Xbox or PC with Data Out available, on the same local network.
